Utrecht travel guide

Utrecht, located in the centre of The Netherlands is the forth largest city in Holland and regarded by many as the next best place to visit after Amsterdam.
Originally an old Roman fortification, Utricht is full of the national heritage and traditional charm that you would expect from a Dutch city whilst still embracing the growth and development of modern times.
Utrecht is home to the tallest church in Holland, the 112m high Dom tower dating back to 1321 where visitors can enjoy an impressive panorama of the city. Utrecht is also the central hub of the Dutch railway system which makes the city extremely accessible from all parts of The Netherlands.
Utrecht is a great city to explore on foot or by bike, take a trip down the Oude Gracht, the canal that runs through the centre of the city and enjoy the vast array of shops, bars and restaurants that line it on both banks. Alternatively have a wonder around the numerous museums or take in some of the landmarks of modern architecture such as the Rietveld Schroder House.
