Vermeer's Milkmaid

Delft is very much a city that immerses itself in culture. The arts play a large part in Delft from its historical history of production of some of the most famous china in the world to the home place of the Delft school of art. Painters such as Johannes Vermeer and Pieter de Hoogh both worked and lived in Delft contributing to a rich history of painters and art in the city.
